With the use of the internet now common place to the general public, there is more information available than ever. Not all of it is easy to find, usefull, or of good quality.

• Mozilla - Providers of the Mozilla web browser. We highly recommend running Mozzilla or the new FireFox web browser and NOT Microsoft Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer is slow, buggy, and very well targeted for viruses.
• The Java software system from Sun Microsystems Inc. - Java is an industrial strength software programming language and runtime system that supports cross platform execution of code. Java now runs on most desktops as well as in browsers as well as in 1000s of PDAs and celular phones.
• Apache - Opensorce group origionally responsible for the development of the apache web server. Now the group also contributes many various other infrastructure based software components. No sane internet provider should be running Microsoft's IIS. Performance metrics unanimously show that Apache outperforms IIS and is by far the most used web server software on the web today.
• Red Hat Linux - A company that provides top quality linux distributions for both enterprise level systems and more bleeding edge desk top users.
